Around the
World, the
rural poor
suffer from
hunger and
disease

Although there has been a reduction in poverty in Ghana, official statistics indicate that just
under 40% of the population still live below the poverty line. World Partners for Development
(WPD) is a global development organization dedicated to improving the lives of most
disadvantaged people in Ghana. Our volunteer abroad program provides an opportunity for
volunteers to improve lives in such Ghana poor communities. Volunteers also enhance their
future global career prospects.

Our all year round projects listed below have been well vetted to ensure that they meet our
high level of safety, honesty and integrity.

Public health
Games and sports

Water and Sanitation
Agriculture
Entrepreneurship, and many others

Volunteer Program Cost
Our affordable volunteer program cost is between
$900 and $1,250 for 4 weeks depending on
project type. Any other durations are available
upon request.

The program cost include services like:

Airport pickup and departure drop off
3 delicious national sampling meals a day
Host family accommodation, some with modern facilities
Pre-depature materials and support
In country orientation
Project support
Personalized volunteer placement
Cultural immersion tour
Brief language learning activities
Certificate of recommendation
Arts and craft gift
Comprehensive travel medical insurance

Why pay to volunteer?
Your payment cover all of the program cost mentioned above. Our group also use some
percentage of the funds to contribute materials and other resources to the overseas project.
The communities you are going to serve are already in need of infrastructure and support.
Therefore community members and our partners are unable to pay foreign volunteers to come
and assist, or able to provide financial support for visiting volunteers whilst they help to
improve the quality of their lives.
