WPD is made up of exceptional talented and dedicated leaders who has unique skill set, and a deep personal
passion  to our programs and the people we serve.
Philip Darko - Executive Director
Philip overseas WPD's international programs, and also helps to coordinate an international research program
with other partners. He has worked in the nonprofit sector for almost 15 years and has served as a Program
Engineer in many development organizations in Africa. Philip holds Masters degree in Business Technologies
from George Washington University, D.C. USA, and First Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of
Science and Technology, Ghana.

Emmanuel Agyapong -Director of Health and Environment Programs
Emmanuel brings his diverse academic backgrounds and field experience to achieving the mission of WPD. He
holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Oklahoma, USA and a Master of Science
degree from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University in Sweden. He
had his basic degree in Development Planning from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana.
Emmanuel has years of experience working with NGOs in the USA in HIV/AIDS prevention programs and in the
developing world in the area of health and environmental sustainability. He served for many years in the Ghana
office of Friends of the Earth-International as the Africa Coordinator for the organization’s trade, environment and
sustainability program.

Pamela Smith - Program Officer  Volunteer
Pamela make research for funding for our new programs. She has served as a volunteer in many parts of the
world including Peru in construction projects. Pamela received her BA in Education from the State University of
New York College at Buffallo, Buffalo, NY., and her Masters Degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the
Tennessee State University, Nashville, Tennessee. She also earned a Masters Degree in International Relations
and Affairs from the Troy University, Troy, Alabama.

Emelia Marfo-Sarbeng - Financial Officer
Emelia is a licenced CPA., and she is the driving force behind WPD's financial analysis. She brings to the WPD
team her experience in financial accounting from the International Accounting Consultancy of London. Emelia
earned her BA in Marketing from the University of Science and Technology, Ghana and her MBA in Accounting
from the Loyala College, Maryland, USA.

Alex Obeng - Director of Programs
Alex graduated from University of Science and Technology, Ghana in 1998, and then George Mason University in
2006 with a MS degree in  Health Systems Management. He will be graduating with a MPH from the George
Mason University very soon. Previously, Alex  worked in Africa on major donor nonprofit profit projects to help
humanity.

Seth Ayeh - Technical Advisor
Seth Ayeh brings his expertise realism in the nonprofit field to enhance a world class delivering of our programs
to help humanity. He has been in the management team of Human Development Focus for almost 12 years. He
holds Masters in Water and Sanitation Engineering from University of Surrey, UK.

Joe Dadzie - Country Director, Ghana
Joe Dadzie coordinates our programs to bring positive change to peoples life in Ghana. His prior  managerial
experience in rural development has helped our programs to reach many underserved communities. He hold
Bachelors in Psychology from University of Ghana, and Public Administration from GIMPA.
