World Partners for Development at InterAction's 2007
Conferece in USA

The   Director   for   International   Programs   of    World   
Partners   for Development, Phil Darko attended the 2007
InterAction conference in Washington D.C, USA. The theme was,
Setting a Bold Agenda for Relief and door to Development.
World Partners for Development  was among the large number
of non-profit organizations around the world who had  the
privilege to attend this annual conference. WPD had the open
door to this conference through  a   sponsorship  from  World
Technical Volunteers.
Dr. Ismail Ndifuna, National Program Officer, UNFPA Uganda
brought up important discussions on women empowerment,
gender and diversity which interested everyone. He said " from
my experience as an African, for most men to embrace such
programs under their cultural background, non-profit
organizations should also conduct such programs for men for
them to understand the women when they come home to
practice what they have heard from their women meetings."
